Charging the battery: •Battery needs to be charged for at least 18 hours before the first use •Charge the battery continuously for 14-30 hours after each use. • When not in use, batteries should be charged at least once a month for 30 hours. • If the open-circuit voltage is below 5.9V DC (for a 6V battery) or 11.8V DC (for a 12V battery) then the battery is considered dead. To keep the battery in its best condition: •Run the battery down, and then charge it right away for 18 hours. • It is absolutely necessary to charge the battery immediately after use. •DO NOT wait until the next time they want to use the vehicle to charge the battery. It is damaging to the battery when it sits with the charge depleted. After a full 18-hour charge, the battery can sit up to two months when not in use. •Charge the battery for at least 18 hours (30 hours max). •DO NOT overcharge. Leave the battery in cool temperatures. •DO NOT leave a depleted battery uncharged. •DO NOT undercharge the battery continually. •DO NOT leave the battery in hot temperatures. •Not following these recommendations may permanently damage the battery, shortening each ride-time and the battery lifespan.
